You know what this is - the sexy external webcam from Apple. It's also a great microphone. Runs over Firewire.
This unit is CHERRY - I used it ONCE and then stored it away. Then got a MBP, yadda yadda yadda. I have most of the accessories - two or three mounts, cable. And yes, it works.
